The Shell Graduate Programme

Embarking on a career in the Corporate Functions area of the Shell Graduate Programme, you’ll help deliver the specialist advice that enables us to operate as a highly competitive global business. The programme lasts for three years and consists of two 18-month job rotations. Contracting and Procurement 

Within Shell’s Contracting and Procurement team, you’ll play a pivotal role in providing the essential support needed to deliver cost-effective solutions that impact our businesses positively and form long-term relationships with our partners and suppliers. In particular, this includes contractors committed to social performance and a cleaner global energy 

Within Shell’s Contracting and Procurement team, you’ll play a pivotal role in providing the essential support needed to deliver cost-effective solutions that impact our businesses positively and form long-term relationships with our partners and suppliers. In particular, this includes contractors committed to social performance and a cleaner global energy future.

The Contract and Procurement team is responsible for everything Shell buys to develop and operate its assets, equating to approximately $65 billion in annual spend. It’s a thrilling environment for graduates keen to test and further develop their interpersonal skills and commercial acumen.

Roles and responsibilities

You'll have the chance to experience different roles within Contracting and Procurement and you may have the opportunity to work in business areas such as:

  • Planning and Performance
  • Category Management Analysis 
  • Contract Management 
  • Sourcing and Operations

You will take on a range of responsibilities including:

  • Analysing supplier/category market intelligence
  • Developing cost models
  • Contract bidding and negotiating
  • Post-award contract management
  • Implementing and localising procurement corporate strategies

Training and development
