Community development programmes have been at the core of Shell’s commitment to Iraq (and Basrah) since we became partners in Basra Gas Joint Venture (NOV) .Shell was the first International Oil Company (IOC) in modern Iraq to deliver an Impact Assessment that included community consultations according to industry and international standards.
